Description:
The Business Resource Consultant (BRC) is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with business clients and developing job opportunities for program participants. The BRC reports to the lead business resource consultant.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
§ Identify and confirm business clients that agree to partner with Business Interface by hiring program participants
§ Conduct business needs analyses in order to listen and properly respond to business needs and identify the appropriate participants for placement
§ Research (Internet, community, etc.), identify and utilize community resources available to support business clients and their employees
§ In collaboration with workforce development trainer, recruit eligible candidates for BI’s training programs
§ Design and implement employment projects to meet organizational goals and grant requirements
§ Manage collaborative business and other local relationships to meet project goals
§ Submit monthly performance reports to the center supervisor
§ In the absence of the workforce development trainer serve as lead substitute for job readiness preparation and career development activities in class
§ Engage in other organizational activities and duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required
§ Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, or related field and
1-5 years experience in the private sector
§ Ability to manage and research the program database and other technology such as the Intranet and Internet
§ Microsoft Office Suite 2000 proficiency—Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
§ Excellent communication skills and customer service skills
§ Working knowledge of community resources and various benefits/entitlements to support employers and unemployed and underemployed individuals
§ Ability to multitask
§ Willingness and ability to work independently and as a member of a team
